Main tasks of the fish farm Kreuzstein lie in the artificial maturation of brood stock fish, the collection of gametes, the hatching of eggs and the rearing of fish larvae to fingerling size. Fish production covers two aspects, the on-growing of endangered and ecologically important fish species for restocking purposes and the production of aquaculture fish for private fish farmers.
