Microlysimeter
Lysimeters are an important instrument for measuring the soil water balance and for tracing water and material flows in the soil. In the microlysimeter facility in Petzenkirchen, the relevant processes can take place on a small scale and under controllable conditions.

Indoorlysimeter
Lysimeters are an important instrument for measuring the soil water balance and for tracing water and material flows in the soil. In order to be able to evaluate the water flow in coarse sediments, which are often carriers of significant groundwater deposits, a cylinder with undisturbed gravel, in total 4 m high, was installed and instrumented in the Institute.
