Institute
The institute for Aquatic Ecology and Fisheries Management was founded as "Fishery Biological Station Weissenbach at Attersee" in 1928. Since 1953 it is located in Scharfling at lake Mondsee. The institute comprises four departments and the fish farm Kreuzstein.

History
Today's Institute of Aquatic Ecology and Fisheries Management was founded in 1928 as the "Fisheries Biological Station Weissenbach am Attersee" and at that time belonged to the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences.
