Visit of the HTL-Krems in the hydraulic engineering laboratory

On October 19, 2023, the HTL-Krems, Department of Civil Engineering visited the Institute for Hydraulic Engineering and Hydrometry as part of a technical excursion day.

Two school classes of the Civil Engineering Department informed themselves both about the services of the institute in the fields of flood protection and river ecology and about the technical and structural features of our hydraulic engineering laboratory at the Brigittenauer Sporn. In addition, we explained to the students the special water management location of the hydraulic engineering laboratory on an island in the area of the Danube, Danube Canal and Lock Canal (weir Nußdorf and power plant, fish ladder, Schemerl Bridge, ship lock).
