At the beginning of this year 2023, the newly created certificate course for pond rangers by the Lower Austrian Chamber of Agriculture, the Lower Austrian Association of Pond Farmers and the KLAR! Region Waldviertel North started.
The ecological station Waldviertel was asked to contribute its expertise on carp pond management to this course and will therefore take over two teaching days.
The first days dealt with water chemistry, fish feeding animals and the influence of climate change on the carp ponds of the Waldviertel region.
