On February 15, 2024, the HTL-Mödling, Department of Environmental Engineering visited the Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Hydrometry as part of a technical excursion day.
A school class from the Department of Environmental Engineering was briefed on the institute's projects in flood protection and water ecology.
The class was divided into two groups and guided through our hydraulic engineering laboratory at Brigittenauer Sporn, gaining valuable insights into the technical and structural features of the building. Additionally, we explained to the students the unique hydrological location of the hydraulic engineering laboratory. At our two small experimental channels, visitors had the opportunity to explore the interactions between morphology and water flow themselves.
