Already for the third time the seminar "Fish farming in the building" took place in southern Styria. Organized by LFI-Styria on 13.10.2023 and hosted in Draßling by the Neuhold family, which operates a small recirculating facility for African catfish in addition to an oil mill, the participants get an overview of fish production in closed recirculating facilities and the funding opportunities under the European Marine, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF). The technical aquaculture part was provided by the Institute of Aquatic Ecology and Fisheries Management. Christian Bauer from the Ecological Station Waldviertel, gave a rough overview of the technology and referred to the educational films and training opportunities at the Federal Office, especially the basic course aquaculture in warm water recirculation systems.
