Exhibition: Danube - Settlement Fluctuation in River Regulation

The exhibition, designed by Herwig Turk and Gebhard Sengmüller, was on view from 10.3. to 22.4.2023 in Vienna. Due to the great success, further activities in the field of art and water will follow.

On four screens you see a bird's eye view of a small pond in the floodplain of the Danube. Each screen shows this pond at one of the four seasons of the year.

Along a wall, numerous stones lie on the ground and form an elongated gravel bank. The size of the stones ranges from 1 to 2 cm to about the size of a head. In one part of the gravel bank the stones are coloured red and in another part green.

For the large gravel bank in the exhibition, we provided model test stones from our institute's extensive stock.
